Home Plate Umpire Report to assist with your MLB Baseball betting

REMINDER: THE UMPIRE REPORT SHOULD ONLY BE A SMALL PART OF YOUR MLB HANDICAPPING PROCESS. NEVER BET SOLELY BASED ON ANY ONE TREND, STAT, ETC.

Mets at Braves (Manny Gonzalez): Gonzalez shows a strong OVER bias overall.  The O/U is 4-4 when he’s behind the plate at SunTrust Park, but the UNDER is 3-0 in his last three here.

Marlins at Cardinals (Todd Tichenor): Tichenor shows a slight UNDER bias overall.  The UNDER is 10-6 in his 16 career games calling balls & strikes at Busch Stadium, including 4-1 since 2013.

Giants at Dodgers (Ed Hickox): Hickox doesn’t really show an overall tendency.  The UNDER is 5-4 in his nine career games behind the plate at Dodger Stadium, including 3-1 since 2012.

Brewers at Padres (CB Bucknor): Very conflicting data here.  Bucknor shows a strong UNDER bias overall.  But, the OVER is 11-3 in his 14 career games calling balls & strikes at Petco Park, including 7-1 over the last eight.  Odd considering he’s a strong UNDER ump in a big time pitchers park.

Rays at Yankees (Jerry Meals): Meals shows a slight OVER bias overall.  The OVER is 9-8-4 in his 21 career games behind the plate at Yankee Stadium, but the UNDER is 3-1-1 since 2017.

Angels at Blue Jays (Mike Muchlinski): Muchlinski doesn’t really show an overall bias.  The OVER is 3-2 in his five career games calling balls & strikes at Rogers Centre, including 3-0 since 2014.

Indians at Rangers (Alan Porter): Porter shows a solid OVER bias overall.  The UNDER is 7-5 in his 12 career games behind the plate at Globe Life Park in Arlington, but the OVER is 3-0 in the last three there.

Red Sox at Twins (Jeremie Rehak): Rehak shows one of the strongest UNDER biases of all MLB umpires.  The UNDER cashed in his only game calling balls & strikes at Target Field.

Orioles at Athletics (Paul Emmel): Emmel shows a strong OVER bias overall.  The OVER is 9-4-2 in his 15 career games behind the plate at Oakland Coliseum, including 8-1-1 since 2008 and 4-0-1 since 2014.

Royals at Mariners (Mike Everitt): Everitt doesn’t really show an overall bias.  The UNDER is 5-3 in his eight career games calling balls & strikes at T-Mobile Park, including 3-1 since 2012.

Astros at Reds (Adrian Johnson): Johnson doesn’t really show an overall bias.  The UNDER is 8-7-1 in his 16 career games behind the plate at Great American Ball Park.

All other games today are the first games in their respective series.  So, home plate umpires for those games will not be announced until shortly before game time.
